Pay Update - Bank of Ireland Group - BOI 05/26
30 January 2026
BOI 05/26
We met again with the bank this week, with mediator Aoibheann Ní Shúilleabháin continuing to oversee pay talks.
The bank’s position is far below what staff have unquestionably earned—especially given its sustained profitability, record performance, and broader economic conditions.
The lack of meaningful progress this far into negotiations is extremely concerning, and there is still a significant gap between the bank’s stance and our members’ expectations.
We expect to resume negotiations in two weeks’ time, and we have made it clear that the bank must bring forward a credible and realistic proposal without further stalling.
We will keep you updated as talks progress. In the meantime, one of the most effective ways to increase our influence at the table is by growing our collective strength. Please encourage colleagues who are not yet members to join our union at www.fsunion.org/fsu/join. A stronger union means a stronger voice.
